Hello again, music lovers and word enthusiasts!

What's the one song that you always come back to? The one whose lyrics are etched in your mind and perhaps, even in your heart? Music is a universal language that speaks to our souls, and the words we connect with often tell a story about us.

For our anniversary celebration, we want to create a beautiful tapestry of our collective memories and feelings through the power of song lyrics. This is your stage to share the words that move you!

We invite you to share a few lines from your all-time favorite English song and tell us why they are so special to you.

Is it because...

- The poetry of the words takes your breath away?

- They perfectly capture a feeling you couldn't express?

- They remind you of a specific person, moment, or time in your life?

- Or simply because the rhythm and rhyme make you feel happy?

Don't just quote the lyrics—let us feel the story behind them. Let's discover new music, rediscover old classics, and see the beautiful and diverse tastes within our club!

🎵 How to Participate:

1. Reply to this post with your chosen lyrics (please keep it to a verse or a chorus).

2. Most importantly, tell us why you love them! A sentence or a paragraph—share as much as you feel comfortable with.

3. Explore others' shares and maybe you'll find your next favorite song!

Let's press play on this celebration and fill the forum with melody and meaning. We can't wait to hear what resonates with you.

Happy sharing!

It's quite hard for me to recommend only a few sentences in one specific song, but here are my recommendation of songs, each of which has some advantages in lyrics.

The first is "Five Hundred Miles", the lyric is as follows:

If you missed the train I'm on, You will know that I am gone, You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles.

A hundred miles, a hundred miles, A hundred miles, A hundred miles, You can hear the whistle blow A hundred miles.

Lord, I'm one, Lord, I'm two, Lord, I'm three, Lord, I'm four, Lord, I'm five hundred miles away from home.

Away from home, away from home, away from home, away from home, Lord, I'm five hundred miles away from home

Not a shirt on my back, Not a penny to my name. Lord. I can't go back home this a-way.

This a-way, this a-way, This a-way, this a-way, Lord, I can't go back home this a-way.

If you missed the train I'm on, You will know that I am gone, You can hear the whistle blow A hundred miles.

A hundred miles. A hundred miles. A hundred miles. A hundred miles. You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles

This lyric can be a great example of repeat. The repeated lyrics are like a training going away, which is perfectly combined with a folk rythm, to show the entanglement between homesickness and the wish to achieve success.

The second is "When You Believe" by John Newton, the lyric is as follows:

Many nights we prayed With no proof anyone could hear

And our hearts a hopeful song We barely understood

Now we are not afraid Although we know there's much to fear

We were moving mountains long Before we know we could

Oh yes, there can be miracles When you believe

Though hope is frail It's hard to kill

Who knows what miracles You can achieve

When you believe Somehow you will

You will when you believe

In this time of fear When prayer so often proves in vain

Hope seems like the summer birds Too swiftly flown away

And now I am standing here My heart's so full, I can't explain

Seeking faith and speaking words I never thought I'd say

There can be miracles When you believe (When you believe)

Though hope is frail It's hard to kill

Who knows what miracles You can achieve

When you believe Somehow you will

You will when you believe

They don't always happen when you ask

And it's easy to give in to your fear, ohh

But when you're blinded by your pain

Can't see your way safe through the rain

Thought of a still resilient voice

Says love is very near

There can be miracles When you believe (When you believe)

Though hope is frail It's hard to kill

Who knows what miracles You can achieve

When you believe Somehow you will, how you will

You will when you believe

啊啊是谁都对My fault, the writer of the song is wrong. The correct writers are Stephen Schwartz and Babyface
