The song was from R1999's official soundtrack, Journey in the rain. Performed by a bunch of 12 years old students of School of Primary Defense of Mankind. They are mostly inborn arcanists discovered by foundation and trained as soldiers fighting against evil creatures and the anti-human organization Manus Vindictae. Their principal is virtuous and admirable. But children have their own dreams and wishes. To fight for the right to live as real kids—joyfully and freely in this world, not just cold weapons and puppets sacrificing lives for the Foundation—they chose to sing their school anthem in a special version with adapted lyrics during the pilgrimage ceremony. This song is the result.
Gently but firmly, before the principal, their teachers, and the foundation, they sang their hearts out—letting the world hear who they truly are.
I think this song may not be the best song i've ever heard, nor the most impressive one. But as soon as i saw the topic, it was the first song that came to my mind. SO, I simply followed my heart. One of the reason I introduced this song is I LOVE the game Reverse:1999, and and I believe the lyrics embody the spirit of humanity in some way—encouraging us to break free from the chains of bias, conquer fear, stand up to power, and most importantly, express our true selves!
