I have tried it before myself. Unless there is some hack I don't know about IE9 will not run on Windows XP. Do you need a newer browser? Is this why you want IE9? There are a lot of good (and safe) alternative web browsers out there such as Google Chrome, Firefox, and Opera. The picture I made above is just a concept of how IE9 would look if XP could run it. Sounds like a pretty good printer you have there. Dot matrix printers are very good and reliable. I would not recommend moving off XP, you will just need reliable virus protection to stay safe online. Windows XP is still the best.
