歲陽脾氣暴躁、孤高自傲，但並非無法交流。它受不了藿藿那哭哭唧唧的樣子，也不太理解狐人的社交——小女孩會因為「尾巴在燃燒」而遭到同學排擠。
「你把那個符紙給老子揭咯！」
「不行，寒鴉大人說符紙不能揭……」
「你聽到了，他們竟敢取笑老子！本大爺從來就沒有受過這樣的委屈。」
「…他們取笑的是…我……」
「那你自己去，你自己動手，你要是不能給老子出這口惡氣，就別來見我。」
「可，可是，我不敢。」
「哎呀，這樣吧，你深呼吸，放空大腦，什麼都不要想，老子來幫你解決。」
「…寒、寒鴉大人說符紙不能揭……」

…等小姑娘回過神來，「惡鬼附身女魔頭」的傳說不脛而走。
在那之後，藿藿打聽了不少有關歲陽過去的故事。不知道多久以前，名叫「燎原」的歲陽敗給羅浮將軍後被分成若干分靈碎片，被封印到了造化洪爐之中。漏網的歲陽原本是「燎原的孤高」，從不願附身於任何人，漂泊隱匿了千百年…直到奄奄一息，直到被藿藿撿起。
「為了不惹人注目，我就叫你『尾巴』了…」
歲陽對此不置可否，當作是默許。
