Introduction (Generated by Kimi AI)

In today's health-conscious society, the demand for transparency in what we consume has never been higher. As we make our way through a myriad of dining options, the question arises: should restaurants take the initiative to provide nutritional information about the dishes they serve? This English Corner session will explore the merits and challenges of such a practice, engaging in a lively debate on the statement: "Restaurants should provide nutritional information about the dishes on their menus."

We will consider the implications of this proposition for both consumers and the restaurant industry. On one hand, proponents argue that access to nutritional information empowers diners to make informed choices, catering to the needs of those with dietary restrictions or health concerns. On the other hand, critics may question the feasibility and accuracy of such disclosures, as well as the potential impact on the dining experience.

As far as I'm concerned, there are several sub-questions to be taken into account before we approve this transprancy policy.

First, is there a menu that is big enough to contain such diverse contents? And what contents should the restaurant provide to consumer?

Second, if the nutritional information is fixed, does that mean the procedure of making a dish should also be fixed? If so, that's quite difficult for small restaurants.
