姬子的記性非常好。

旅途越來越長，同伴越來越多，她仍能記住許多。

她記得自己與帕姆有一搭沒一搭地聊天，記得列車最初的兩位客人是瓦爾特和他的金髮同伴。她記得寡言的丹恆如何一槍擊退吞食星辰的巨獸。她記得開朗的三月七如何從隕冰中甦醒，記得自己為三月七設計的每一套裝扮，記得女孩的最愛。她記得列車組如何抵達空間站「黑塔」，如何與開拓者相會，如何再次踏上全新的旅程。

她記得列車每一個零部件的規格參數，記得它們是如何插接匹配。她記得何時為列車的軸承上油，記得何時為列車上的每一株綠植澆水。她記得帕姆有決不能觸及的底線，記得瓦爾特也有十分年輕的愛好。她記得丹恆總是通宵整理智庫，記得三月七愛睡懶覺。她記得列車組每個人的性格，習慣，愛好，生日以及其他紀念日，還有更多。

如果大家能在列車上找到自己的終點，對於姬子來說則是最欣慰不過。

「旅程總有結束的時候，到時候，我一定會微笑着和大家告別吧。」

她總是這麼說，但她一定會記得。

正是記憶匯成她來時的路，終又必復歸於起點的海。  

Character Story: Part III

• Unlocked at Character Level 60

Himeko's memory is very good.

The longer the journey gets, the more travel companions she accrues. She can still remember many of them.

She remembers her awkward chit-chats with Pom-Pom, and how the first two passengers aboard the Express were Welt and his blond friend. She remembers how the taciturn Dan Heng defeated the monsters that can swallow stars with just one strike of his lance. She remembers how March 7th had awoken from her icy slumber, all the outfits she'd designed for March, and what March loves the most. She remembers how the Crew arrived at Herta Space Station, how she met (Trailblazer), and how they'd embarked on a new journey once more.

She remembers the specifications for every single component of the Express and how they're assembled. She remembers when to oil the Express's bearings and when each plant on the Express needs watering. She remembers Pom-Pom's non-negotiable bottom line, and that Welt has rather juvenile hobbies. She remembers that Dan Heng is always pulling all-nighters to organize the data bank, and how March 7th loves to sleep in. She remembers the personality, habits, hobbies, birthdays, and other anniversary days of everyone aboard the Express. And she remembers much, much more.

The greatest pleasure for Himeko is that everyone can safely reach their destination on the Express.

"Traveling always has an end point. When it happens, I'll smile and say goodbye to everyone."

She always says that, and she'll definitely remember to do that.

It's memory that has formed the road she came from, and memory that will eventually return her to the seas from whence she came.

「真是漫長的旅途。」她說。

「我一直在等待，太久太久了。」████ 看向她：「領你走上這條路的不是厄運，而是探索欲和好奇心。」

「當然，」她笑，「可我所經歷遠不及你。」

「不，我從未經歷過你所經歷的一切。」████ 搖頭：「有多少雙腳就有多少條旅路。」

「此刻，縱使我們已站在同一處，所見所思也不盡相同。」

他們不說話，抬頭看向星空，此時他們望見流星，一條，兩條，三條…然後是許多細小的，絢爛的，明明滅滅的光芒，最後，壯麗的烈光撕裂了黑夜。

沉靜的聲音使空氣再度流動：「你看見了什麼？」

「星星結束了它們的旅途。」她答。

████ 笑：「可我看到它們的旅途正剛剛開始。」

他們不再說話。

「我們該回去了。他們還再等着我。」

████ 沉默。然後問道：「迄今為止的旅行，令你感到幸福嗎？」

她提起手提箱，向着列車的方向走去，沒有回頭。

「一如既往。」  

Character Story: Part IV

"What a long journey." She says.

"I've been waiting for so, so long."████ looks at her: "It wasn't bad luck that has led you down this path, but wanderlust and curiosity."

"Of course," she smiles, "But I've experienced far less than what you've been through."

"No, I've never experienced the things you have." ████ shakes their head: "There are as many routes as there are pairs of feet."

"Right now, we may be standing in the same place, but we harbor different thoughts and views."

Together, they look up to the stars in silence, and just then saw meteors streaming down: one, two, three... And then more, smaller ones, flickering and flashing ever so finely before a magnificent blaze tore open the night.

A quiet voice disturbs the still air once more: "What do you see?"

"The stars have finished their journey." She says.

████ laughs: "I, instead, see that their journey is only just beginning."

They do not speak again.

"Let's go back. They're waiting for me."

████ is silent, then asks: "Has the journey so far made you happy?"

She picks up her suitcase and walks back in the direction of the Express without looking back.

"Same as always."

The Divine Foresight, one of the Seven Arbiter-Generals. Although his appearance may be one of indolence, he is more meticulous than seemingly meets the eye. He does not consider saving a situation from the brink of disaster to be a show of wisdom, and is thus fastidious with routine affairs to avoid any potential problems. Due to his careful management, Xianzhou has enjoyed many years of peace, with Jing Yuan's seemingly lazy demeanor having earned him the moniker of the "Dozing General."

「取法天圓地方？古人文明未開化前，相信大地平坦。這星陣棋仿效的是列國逐鹿相爭，一統大地的舊事，自然是方秤。至於棋…那時的人相信天如穹蓋渾圓，棋子仿效星辰流轉，下應人事，自然是圓的。」
「不對，不對。」
「你未下的四十八手，我已預見了。景元，你要是想借提問讓我分神，我勸你趁早歇歇。」
「哎，符卿怎麼無端疑我？」
「別打岔，你接着說。」
「誠如符卿所說，棋是比喻，以局喻人。戰爭的規則寫的明明白白，各子的行動早有定數，也不過是進退飛跳罷了。因此進退以方，這便是方枰的原因。至於棋子，先賢有雲『用智如圓』，陣中各子皆有自己的心智，所以用了圓棋。」

"Master Diviner, why do we use a square board but round pieces for starchess?"
"Perhaps it's based around the round sky and square earth? Ancient civilizations believed the earth was flat. This set is modeled after the old days of nation-states and imperial conquest over a singular planet, so naturally it's square. As for the pieces... People back then believed the sky was a round dome, and chess pieces spun around like stars in that dome to reflect in human lives. That's why they are also round."
"No, no. That's incorrect."
"I've already predicted your next forty-eight moves. Jing Yuan, if you want to distract me with questions, I urge you to stop."
"Ah, how could you suspect such malice?"
"Don't interrupt me. Keep talking."
"It's true that chess is a metaphor and describes the human condition. The rules of war are clearly established, with each piece's actions fixed — advance, retreat, and jump. Advance or retreat is always in an orderly manner, which is why the board's square in its orderliness. As for the pieces, the sages said "use intellect with subtlety and suaveness." As each piece is meant to be sentient individuals, they are therefore circular."
"The origins of starchess are covered in the Gleaned Pearls of Verdure. I've read lots, Jing Yuan — why are you brazenly lying to me!"
"Cloud Knight moves to C3, taking your King. You lost, Lady Fu."
"Hang on! How did I not see this in my predictions? B—Back up. Let me see that move again."
"Chess pieces are like people. Each has its own sentience. There is no going back on the chessboard. How can anyone return to the past? Haha, how can the head of a Commission act like a sore loser?"

作為橫跨六大仙舟的建制，雲騎軍自火劫大戰的尾聲中脫胎，立誓衛蔽仙舟，奉行帝弓的「巡獵」誥諭，傳承至今。儘管長生種的壽命漫長到不可思議，但在血火廝殺的戰爭中，卻鮮有雲騎將軍能在履任後撐過百年的大關。與其說這是一種宿命，不如說這是一種傳統。作為鎮護仙舟、討伐孽物的武裝力量，將軍除去綢繆調遣的職責，更需要身先士卒，叩關斬陣。在無數殘酷短暫的年限記錄之中，負責節制羅浮雲騎軍的「神策將軍」景元卻脫穎而出，已安然治軍數百年。在他折衝運籌之下，羅浮雲騎一度蜚聲聯盟，立下過眾多驚人的戰績。雖然有人腹誹他本人畏戰怯陣，鮮少動武。但也不得不承認，其人的智謀不遜於最鋒銳的利劍，盡解難結。

Of an alliance spanning six mighty Xianzhou ships, the Cloud Knights emerged out of the ashes of the Flaming Catastrophe. They swore an oath to defend the Xianzhou ships and follow Reignbow's decree of The Hunt, a tradition carried out to this day. Despite the incredible longevity of long-life species, few generals have been able to pass the century mark after taking up the mantle due to the bloody nature of warfare. This is not so much fate as it is tradition. As the armed defenders of Xianzhou against crusading abominations, generals not only must take the lead for planning and dispatching, but also take the lead into battle. Amidst countless names erased too quickly and too cruelly in the annals of history, the Divine Foresight Jing Yuan, leader of the Cloud Knights of the Xianzhou Luofu, stands out from the rest with his centuries-old reign. Under his wise strategy, the Luofu's Cloud Knights have made a name for themselves among the Alliance, achieving an exemplary record. While there are those who complained that he feared combat so much so that he seldom resorted to arms, it remains true that his intellect is no less resourceful than the tip of the sharpest sword in solving thorny problems.

按照從狐人傳入的「試兒」習俗，家長會在幼兒周圍擺上種種物事玩具任其抓取，以卜前途。其父母原本指望孩子繼承衣缽，成為地衡司的學者或是執事官，景元卻獨獨抓起了玩具刀劍。

似乎「試兒」之俗應證了未來。在學宮結業後，為了擺脫望眼欲穿的人生，景元不顧家族的反對加入了雲騎軍。

在雲騎軍的戰事牘庫中，記錄了他身為雲騎士卒的首次出征。運送部隊的天艟迫降在了一顆海洋星球上。此地深受孽物的侵染，一支被稱為「傀儡蛸」的新興長生種劫持了雲騎的心智，混入艦隊中，幾乎成功將這艘戰艦轉化為自己的巢穴。景元敏銳地覺察出了危機，並迅速梳理出傀儡蛸操控的條件，應對手法。剩餘的船員最終通過了敵我難辨的考驗，擊敗了對手，安然返鄉。

這場幾乎兵不血刃的戰爭讓雲騎將軍們看到了景元的鋒芒。重返仙舟後，景元在雲騎軍內部嶄露頭角，受到重用。

他的應變急智和實用主義手段屢屢讓上級們難忘又頭疼。最終，受到前任羅浮劍首的邀請，景元加入其所部為之效力，開啟了「雲上五驍」傳奇之路。  

Character Story: Part III

One of the hottest pieces of gossip making the rounds today contends that Jing Yuan's family has served the Realm-Keeping Commission for generations.

According to the foxian custom of having babies "picking" their future, parents will put various objects and toys around an infant cub, and get them to choose their future career path by grabbing an item. Jing Yuan's parents hoped he would inherit the mantle of a scholar or official at the Realm-Keeping Commission, but Jing Yuan grabbed the toy sword.

It seems like prediction from the birthfate tradition came true. After graduating from the academy, Jing Yuan joined the Cloud Knights to escape from a "typical" life against his family's wishes.

His first expedition was recorded in the official Cloud Knights' battle record. The Navis Astriger carrying the troops had to make a forced landing on an ocean planet infested by abominations. One new long-life species known as Puppeteer Jellyfish hijacked the Cloud Knights' minds, stowing onto the ship and almost converting their warship into an alien hive. Jing Yuan quickly became aware of the crisis and identified the requirements of Puppeteer Jellyfish possession, then devised a way against them. The rest of the crew eventually passed this ordeal amongst identical friends and foes, defeated the real enemies, and returned home to safety.

This bloodless victory showed Jing Yuan's mettle to the Cloud Knights' generals. After returning to the Xianzhou, Jing Yuan demonstrated his adept skill and was appointed to a position of importance in the Knights.

His quick-witted and practical approaches had repeatedly given his superiors unforgettable surprises — and headaches. In the end, Jing Yuan was invited by the previous Sword Champion of the Luofu to join her team, and so the legend of the High-Cloud Quintet was formed.

作為仙舟歷史上著名的傳奇，來自諸仙舟雲騎軍中的五位英雄聚首同戰，合稱「雲上五驍」。以此五人為首，成就的功勳史不絕書：驅走攻入塔拉薩的步離人艦隊；破壞豐饒聯軍中慧駰族與造翼者的同盟；乃至解圍玉闕仙舟，並擊潰了活體星球「計都蜃樓」，保全了聯盟凝視星海的眼睛……

然而累累功業，最終卻敵不過時間的輕輕一彈指。「雲上五驍」在短暫相聚不逾百年的時光後分崩離析。隨着戰事漸少，聯盟各大仙舟各循其位，羅浮開始巡航於銀河間的商路，為聯盟尋求補給與盟助。

故交舊友風流雲散，不復存焉；宿敵舊讎或死或擒，徒留回憶。倒下的將軍不必承受此等折磨，而活下來的將軍必須面對一切：無論曾夢想過何等偉大的遠景，無論曾戰勝過多少個神明一樣的強敵，時間總是逐一拔去你的爪牙卻又不殺死你，讓你苟延在角落中憎恨自己的無力。

而唯有真正的智者，才能在時光這位不敗的對手前兀自傲立。  

Character Story: Part IV

As the most famous legend in Xianzhou history, the five heroes of the High-Cloud Quintet gathered to fight together. Their feats were almost endless: Driving out the borisin invading Thalassa. Destroying the alliance between the Houyhnhnms and the wingweavers in the Abundance Axis. Even rescuing the Xianzhou Yuque and defeating the living planet Ketu Mirage, preserving the eyes of the Alliance that gaze out to the stars...

However, all their achievements were no match for the cruelty of time. The High-Cloud Quintet fell apart after less than a hundred short years. As wars waned, the major ships went their separate ways as the Luofu began patrolling cosmic trade routes, seeking out supplies and support for the Alliance.

Old friendships became scattered to the winds, and enemies were either captured or dead. Only memories remain. Fallen generals don't have to endure such torment, but those who survive have to go through it all, no matter how great a vision one has dreamed of and no matter how many overwhelming enemies one has defeated, time will always reduce one's strength little by little yet cruelly spares one's life, leaving one cowering in a corner and hating one's own powerlessness.

Only the truly wise can stand proud in front of the undefeated enemy called time.

Character Story: Part I

His hometown was ravaged by war for years, and the memories of his early childhood were tainted by the horrors of bloodshed and relentless shelling. Amidst the chaos, he sought refuge underground and, by chance, discovered an ocarina beneath a stone tile.
With trembling hands, he attempted to coax a melody from the instrument.
However, his "music" proved to be terrible.

Yet, the ethereal notes emanating from his ocarina became his sanctuary, a spiritual escape from the harsh reality.

Over time, the melodic strains faded into the recesses of his memory, becoming a mysterious and elusive moment. It was only years later, during a bard tour, when he saved a child from the flames of war and received a precious ocarina as a token of gratitude, that the melodies of his past resurfaced.
Holding the exquisite instrument in his hands, he examined its flawless and noble craftsmanship. Once again, the melodies of his childhood converged, evoking a flood of emotions and memories.
However, his "music" remained terrible.

"I'm too clumsy to master this instrument..."
He murmured in self-deprecation. Yet, after a profound moment of contemplation, a resolute courage ignited within him. He resolved to try once more, to weave a melody.
The music remained unchanged, but this time, he laughed wholeheartedly.

"Despite the terrible music, I love it. I believe it to be beautiful."
Carefully stowing away his ocarina, he once again embarked on his journey without hesitation.

「那是一個靜止的瑪瑙世界，眾人皆為其中所存封的奇譎壯美之現象淚流滿面。」
「據傳伊德莉拉會在隕落後經過數次十三琥珀紀的輪迴，於第十三個月在宇宙某處回歸。」

在那些年頭裏，師者日復一日向他傳授「純美」的精神：
如何以虔誠的「戰」代替吟詠的「詩」，將「純美」的精神貫徹。

——他知曉了，那是一種名為「騎士」的準則與品格。

但師者未曾同他說起過多便匆匆離世。他再次獨行，一如早些時候他剛遠離家鄉時，冥思自己的存在。只是他不再有過關於孤獨的「愁悶」，他思考着，要如何成為一名「騎士」。

他曾呆在老城，將污髒的街道翻新，像沐光的嬰孩。
他剿滅如噩夢般的怪物，次年春日，兔子們再一次蹦蹦跳跳穿過林間。
他也曾同另一位「騎士」短暫並行於世，那位騎士說，他堅信盔甲上有女神的祝福。

「奉獻靈魂帶有這種意味：每次都可能一去無回，但每次都將決不退縮。」
「共勉，我的摯友。」

Character Story: Part II

After leaving his hometown, he became the apprentice of an elderly master.
Alongside physical and mental training, he would often listen to his master's tales of bygone eras — stories of transcendent beauty and mystical phenomena witnessed by the Minstrels.

"It was a world bathed in amber, draped in undisturbed stillness, where every being shed tears for the magnificent wonders veiled beneath its surface."
"Rumor has it that Idrila, after embarking on a journey spanning numerous cycles of Thirteen Amber Eras, will make a triumphant return to the universe during the elusive thirteenth month."

Day after day, his master imparted the essence of beauty to him. He learned to go beyond mere poetic recitation and embrace devotion as the embodiment of beauty, truly upholding its philosophy.

He understood that beauty was not just a code to follow but a way of life, an existence known as a knight.

However, his master departed from this world, and he once again set out on his lonely journey. He contemplated his existence, pondering the nature of his being. Instead of lamenting his solitude, he focused on becoming a true knight.

During his stay in an old city, he labored to restore its dilapidated streets.
He vanquished nightmarish monsters, and with the arrival of spring, rabbits frolicked once again in the woods.
He also briefly found companionship in the presence of another knight, who professed his faith in the blessings of the goddess residing within his armor.

"To give one's soul requires understanding that each encounter might be one's last, yet retreating is never an option."
"Carry these words of courage with you, my dear friend."

He contemplated on his lance, which bore the stains of countless battles fought in the name of Beauty.
With solemn reverence, he wiped away each mark, a testament to his tireless odyssey toward the pursuit of Beauty.
